After an unforgettable opening day, where she won the stage and pulled on La Vuelta’s red leader’s jersey, Noemi and the team lined up for stage 2 ready to defend and race on the front foot. Inside the final twenty kilometers, a touch of wheels brought her down and forced her to abandon.

X-rays have confirmed a fracture to her right shoulder that will require surgery.

This is a tough setback, but Noemi now turns her focus to recovery and the work ahead to return to racing under the supervision of our medical staff.
