“The team appears to be a really fun environment and somewhere ideally suited for me to develop as an athlete and person. I’ll have the opportunity to go to the biggest races with the best support available. I can’t wait to see what the future holds.”

Some of Simon Carr’s career highlights include a stage win at the Tour du Beaujolais and a 10th overall in the Le Tour de Savoie Mont Blanc. He also won the Prueba Villafranca-Ordiziako Klasika this year, a professional road race held in Ordizia, Basque Country.

Earlier in his career, Carr rode for the top French amateur team AVC Aix-en-Provence before he joined Fumi, Julien and Nakane at NIPPO DELKO One Provence. He’s excited to reunite with these guys this year as he enters the WorldTour stage at 22-years-old.

EF Education–NIPPO is also a perfect place for Carr, was born in Hereford, England but has spent his entire life in his hometown of Bellegarde du Razès, Aude, France. He speaks English, French, and Spanish but is most accustomed to the French way of life after growing up there. Plus, he’s got skills in the kitchen and loves making post-ride recovery snacks, especially his homemade banana ice cream.
