Magnus Cort Nielsen
Magnus joined the American-registered squad in 2019 as proven winner in the WorldTour, with a Tour de France stage win (2018) and two Vuelta a España stage wins (2016). Handy on the flat roads in Netherlands, comfortable in the mountains, and able to play an important role in the team time trial, Magnus adds versatility to a squad that chases win with craft rather than brute strength. Magnus took two stage and race wins in 2020 and racked up a whole host of podium finishes showing us what he is truly made of.
Magnus was born and raised in Bornholm, a small Danish island in the Baltic Sea. He moved away from home, relocating to mainland Denmark, to join a sports school when he was 16. He lives 2000 kilometers away from Bornholm now, spending the cycling season in Girona and Andorra, but returns home frequently to visit family and friends. He loves science and technology, uses time away from the bike to backpack, and explores the world at every opportunity.
Be sure to follow Magnus on Instagram for his (often hilarious) hotel ratings.

I don’t really enjoy cities that attract all the tourists. I prefer small towns, countryside and nature
