Noah Hobbs takes his first pro win at Heistse Pijl
Young Brit finishes off hectic day with perfectly timed sprint
June 6, 2026
Noah Hobbs has his first professional win.
The 21-year-old EF Education-EasyPost rider sprinted to victory at Heistse Pijl on Saturday, finishing off a fast and chaotic day in Belgium with a perfectly timed sprint to the line.
The 187.5-kilometer one-day race around Heist-op-den-Berg was always likely to come down to a sprint, but with the rain and cobbles, the day was anything but straightforward. The pace was high from the start, with the peloton averaging more than 46 km/h through the first half of the race. A late breakaway briefly threatened to spoil the sprinters’ plans, but once the move was brought back inside the final eight kilometers, the sprint was on.
That is where our small but mighty EF Education–EasyPost squad came to the front.
With only five riders on the start line, as injuries continue to take their toll on the team this season, the group had to race smart and stay calm. They did just that. Over the final kilometers, the team kept Noah protected and moved him into position just in time for the decisive final corners.
He launched in the final hundred meters and held off the rest of the bunch to take the biggest result of his young career.
First pro win. First celebration in pink.
Small team. Big leadout. Bigger finish. Here’s to your first of many, Noah.
