World junior and European U23 cyclocross champion Mattia Agostinacchio joins EF Education-EasyPost for his first WorldTour season in 2026.

He will lead our new cyclocross program through the winter and then bring his formidable bike handling skills and power to the road. Mattia is a complete all-rounder, having come through cycling as a mountain biker before taking up cyclocross and, more recently, road racing. In 2025, Mattia achieved several impressive U23 wins on the road, including a stage at the Trophée Centre Morbihan and three victories in Italian national races. He is determined to hit the ground running with his first pro team.

His first season will be focused on learning how WorldTour racing works and developing his resilience and power. Mattia is no stranger to learning, having taught himself English by watching YouTube and TikTok videos. A keen cyclist since his early childhood, it was his father who first introduced him to the sport - initially as a recreational pastime, and later as a way to compete. Mattia rose through the ranks fast, driven by the sheer joy he gets from practicing on his bike and his competitive nature.

Now he is in the WorldTour, the stakes are higher, but Mattia will never lose his sense of play. He is already our squad’s wheelie champion.
