When Caoimhe and her sister were little, her dad’s cycling club hosted a youth turbo session. Caoimhe and her sister had fun and soon after decided to try racing. The pair had a blast and Caoimhe was hooked. Since then, she’s worked her way up through club and continental teams to earn her spot in the sport’s top level.

Caoimhe cut her teeth racing in Belgium and to this day, she gets an unrivaled thrill when she experiences the mad rush of the peloton and the short, punchy climbs. Naturally, she loves the classics.

This is Caoimhe’s first season with EF Education-Oatly and her first in the WorldTour. Her goals for the season are to continue to grow and develop, while supporting her teammates.

Caoimhe’s resilience and patience have served her well as a professional cyclist. She’s learned that if she continues to put in the time – whether it’s training, recovering, or preparing – the results will come. Stepping up to the WorldTour this season is proof.

She enjoys learning and has a bachelor’s degree in food science. Caoimhe is a keen baker and has perfected her sourdough technique.
