Questions & Answers
If you could time travel, what date/year would you visit and why?
The Big Bang so I could witness the birth of the universe.
What two apps do you use the most?
Other than Instagram(?!), iNaturalist and Goodreads.
What is your favorite word in your native language? What does it mean? What do you like about it?
Marcescence. A melodious word that slides nicely off the tongue. It's a phenomenon whereby the leaves of certain deciduous trees or shrubs wither and die, but remain attached to the woody plant until spring. I love witnessing this phenomenon in winter. Walks in the pale, barren Georgia woods are deliciously interrupted by the bronze, dancing leaves of American beeches – my favorite marcescent species.
What’s your hidden talent?
Rescuing plants!
What is your favorite song in your native language?
Boots of Spanish Leather by Bob Dylan.
