Gruber Gallery: Tour de France Stage 17

The shortest stage of the Tour de France — measuring only 65 kilometer — packed a high altitude punch with Montée de Peyragudes, Col d’Azet and Col de Portet coming in quick succession. Dani Martinez made his fourth escape out of the last seven Tour stages and flew the #PinkArgyle flag boldly on stage 17, attacking his group up Col d’Azet and Col de Portet. Although he faded in the final kilometers, Martinez’s ride represents another very positive sign for his future ambitions: to one day win Le Tour de France.
